Autumn Style from the High-street

Now that the nights are pulling in and there is a definite nip in the air - it's time to start looking at the Autumn styles on the high street.

Although I don't like being cold and I love summer - there is something about A/W clothing, fabulous tweeds and furs just look so chic and a chance to wear hats is always good for me.

So here is a little selection of some of the pieces that would look great to update your wardrobe for the coming chilly months.

Hacking style jacket from Florence and Fred at Tesco - wear with a simple A-line skirt and brogues for a country chic look.

Very stylish wool dress from George at Asda - wear with a pair of heels and a fur wrap.

J by Jasper Coran at Debenhams - add a fitted cardigan or sweater and mary janes.

Laura Ashley £55 - add a simple pencil skirt or pair of wide leg trousers.

Classic wool pencil skirt from M&CO £35 - keep it chic with a pussy bow blouse or simple sweater and high heeled pumps.

M&CO hat £15 - adds style to any outfit and keeps you warm too!

Claasic clutch from Monsoon - lovely colours for Autumn.

Re-living the 40's

Sheringham's annual 1940's event came around again last weekend - where did the time go??

The whole town gets involved with shop window displays and re-enactors taking over the streets and stations.

This year was bigger than ever before with more people, more dances and on the Sunday all of us vintage folk marched through the town centre in a massive parade - it must admit it was very strange to walk along with the streets lined with people clapping and cheering!!!

I am always blown away to see so many people dress up in 40's style outfits, and I love to travel on the steam trains it is such a romantic scene with men in uniform and women in furs and vintage frocks.

Here are just a few pictures for a fabulous 40's weekend.  Now unfortunately it is back to reality and normal life (although I do still have a kinda vintage lifestyle everyday!!), but not seeing almost everyone walking around in uniform and vintage takes a day to get used too!!

Saturday evening outfit.
Suit Lulu's Vintage, bag Taxi Vintage Norwich Market, shoes Lulu's Vintage and fascinator Kitty Hats.

I wanted to drive away in this car!!!

So tiresome to get through the crowds for a ciggie so I went out the window!!!

The smallest dance floor ever!!!
